SHREE TRAN GAM JAIN MITRA MANDAL - MUMBAI (MEHSANA - VISNAGAR - VADNAGAR)
The beginning of the Mandal and the achievement of the work till date:
Mainly from North Gujarat many families of Mehsana - Visnagar - Vadnagar taluka has settled in Mumbai for business opportunities since many years. To bring together all families settled at different places in Mumbai under one umbrella for various social needs, group of likeminded people decided to form an organisation. With the blessing of Late Shri Dhayabhai Ghelabhai Shah (Mehsana) on 15 August 1966 the mandal naming "Shri Trangam Jain Mitra Mandal" was founded under the leadership of Late Shri Sevantilal Somchand Shah as the Founder President of the organisation.
The founder president of the organization, Late Shri. Sevantilal Somchand Shah (Visnagar), served as President for 9 years. Then Mr. Lakshmichand Maneklal Shah (Vadnagar), served as president for 9 years and Shri Madhukarbhai Kantilal Shah(Visnagar) served as President for 8 years. Shri Naresh Parikh (Visnagar) is currently serving as President since last 27 years. Under the leadership of him and with the help of his committee members, general members, donors, sponsors, the organisation has promoted various activities and have great achievements in his crown. In order to expand various activities of the organisation in 1998, The Trust was formed and in the year 1999 fund raising program was organized. Organisation purchased a place for the Mandal office and to promote various mandal activities. The mandal office name is kept on the name of main donor Shrimati Kantaben Champaklal Harde family. In the last 27 years, many new activities have started.
Sadharmik Service: Efforts are made to improve the economically weaker sections of samaj through helping food grain, medical aid, health check-up and other assistance. In the past, with the help of Pragati Mandal Consumer Co-op. Store, an arrangement was made to get the living things at concessional price for each family. In 1997, for the flood victims in North Gujarat, we helped by collecting almost the sum of Rs two lakhs. In past for earthquake victims in kutchh also we helped them by collecting good money for them.
Medical Aid: Various medical camps are organized every year by the organization. Financial assistance is provided for the illness. The Medical aid (Wheel Chair, Bed Pan, Bed, walker etc.) needed during the illness are also provided.
Education: To promote education each student from standard 1 to degree obtaining over 70% marks, prizes is given as encouragement. Special Educational Awards to the best of the best students in different groups are also given every year. At concession price notebook are given, also giving free to needy. Encouragement prizes are also given to those who receive more than 60% marks in Pathshala. Various academic trophies award is given since 2005.
Tapasvi Honor: For the last 27 years religious 'tap' done by members are honoured.
Sanganthan: Every year, a sneh samelan is held for the members of the family. In the past, we have organized a sneh samelan at various places like Vile Parle, Dadar, Chembur, Dahisar, Murbad, Kandivali, Mahavirdham, Thana, Goregam, Piyushpani, Bykulla, Bhayander, Trimurti Borivali etc.
Tirth Yatra Journey: A pilgrimage tour is organized at very low rates for samaj members family. So far many pilgrimages places like Kavi , Gandhar, Jhagadia, Nageshwar Panchatirth, Balsana Panchatirth, Kumbhojgiri Panchchatirtha, Uvsangharam (Durg), Kaivalya Dham (Raipur), Kuchh Bhadreshwar, Rajasthan etc. have been successfuliy organized.
Lecture Series: Since last 5 years on the first Sunday of every month in association with Astha Ray of Hope, a lecture series on various topics has been organized at VilePerle. To bring out the internal inteligence within the member family, individual, different competitions, sports are arranged every year. Special promotion is also given in the field of art.
To achieve the goals and to promote the various activities, financial help is required and for which time to time fund-raising program is organized.
